Start crocheting in the centre:
1. Round: Chain 5 and close with a slip stitch.
2. Round: Chain 1, single crochet (sc) 7 and close with a
slip stitch into a round.
3. Round: Chain 1 , 2 sc in each sc of previous round and
close with a slip stitch = 14 sc
4. Round: Chain 1, double every 2nd sc of the previous
round and close with a slip stitch = 21 sc
5. Round : Chain 1, double every 3rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 28 fM
6. Round: Chain 1, double every 4th sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 35 fM
7. Round : Chain 1, double every 5rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 42 fM
8. Round : Chain 1, double every 6rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 49 fM
9. Round : Chain 1, double every 7rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 56 fM
10.Round : Chain 1, double every 8rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 63 fM
11.Round : Chain 1, double every 9rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 70 fM
12.Round : Chain 1, double every 10rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 77 fM
13.Round : Chain 1, double every 11rd sc of the previous round and close with a slip stitch = 84 fM

14.- 31. Round: 1 sc in each sc of previous round without increasing.
32. Round (for the holes in case you want to add a ribbon later on): * 1 sc, chain 1, 1 double crochet (dc), skip 2 sc of
previous round * repeat from * to * til end.
33. Round: In each of the loops of 3 chains, make 3 sc, close round with a slip stitch.
34. Round (Shell Pattern): Make 4 dc (1 shell) in the centre sc of the 3 sc of the previous round. Close round with slip
stitch.
35.-37. Reihe: Crochet one shell in each of the space between the shells of the previous round. Close round with a slip
stitch.
If you wish to have a wider rim, continue the shell pattern as long as you want.
Cut the thread and hide the end.
If you wish, pull a ribbon band through the holes of Round 32.
