This piece did not turn out the way I first imagined it to be. I first sculpted the fish whole and unspoiled. But accidents happen in the kiln and when I woke up the morning after the firing, parts of the fish were all over the kiln. Some will say, oh that is just a sad fact about making pottery, sometimes you loose pieces during the firing. But I have had plenty of pet cats in my life and I know that this was no accident. So I remade the final design to show what I believe really happened. The cat teapot just got a little hungry overnight and couldn't resist the easy meal so conveniently within his reach. | Facebook
